Alice's Story

Alice from Play Makes Sense

Alice is the co-founder of Play Makes Sense. A small business on a big mission to empower busy educators and parents through sensory play.

Alice has worked in education for over 13 years, both in mainstream and SEND settings. Before founding Play Makes Sense, Alice graduated from the Institute of Education in London. She started her career as a Key Stage 2 teacher, before becoming reception class teacher and Early Years Leader in an inner London primary school for several years.

She left teaching when she had her first child and moved from London to Yorkshire. Alice founded Play Makes Sense in 2020 with her co-founder Abbie.

To date, Play Makes Sense has empowered over 4,000 parents and educators. Alice offers training and workshops in phonics, maths and play throughout the Yorkshire area and beyond.
